Key guidelines for vertical wall application

A) Surface preparation

- Ensure the wall is fully cured (for new masonry/plaster allow 28 days).

- Clean off all dust, loose paint, efflorescence, grease. Repair cracks, joints, hollows (especially corner / parapet / channel areas).

- For large cracks (>3mm) fill with polymer-modified mortar; for smaller cracks use crack-seal products.

B) Dilution / coats

- According to one datasheet for vertical surfaces: The first coat may be diluted with water up to 33% (i.e., ~1 part water to ~3 parts product) for self-priming coat.

- Subsequent (second) coat: apply undiluted (or minimal/no dilution) for full performance.

- Maintain drying interval between coats: ~4-6 hours (or as per ambient conditions).

C) Coverage / forced coverage for vertical surfaces

- For vertical surfaces the coverage of up to ~25 Sq ft or 2.32 m² per litre for the first coat in fresh painting

- Re‐painting coverage (on the same surface) can reach 30-35 Sq Ft or 2.79-3.25 m² per litre depending on substrate.

Important: Make sure you do not exceed the recommended coverage (“forced coverage”) because under-thickness will reduce waterproofing performance.
