APPLICATION PROCESS – GAUMAYA DAMPLOCK

A) Surface Preparation (Most Important Step)

• Clean the surface thoroughly to remove Dust, Loose particles and Old loose paint


• Algae/fungus (wash with a mild bleach solution if needed)


• Fill cracks up to 3 mm using any good quality Crack Seal or polymer putty.


• Ensure the surface is dry, firm, and free from moisture seepage.


• For new plaster: allow 28 days curing before application.

B)  First Coat (Primer Coat)

• Dilution: Mix Gaumaya DampLock with 25-30% clean water


• Apply with brush or roller evenly.


• Coverage target for first coat: 25–30 sq ft per KG (vertical walls).


• Allow 4–6 hours drying before applying the next coat.

C) Second Coat (Undiluted Coat)

• Apply Gaumaya DampLock directly without dilution.


• Ensure uniform brushing with no pinholes.


• Coverage target: 25–30 sq ft per KG.


• Allow 6 hours drying.

D) Optional Third Coat (For Severe Damp / Old Buildings)

Apply another undiluted coat if the wall has:

• Severe damp


• Strong water marks


• Repeated leakage history


• Maintain same coverage and drying time.

E) Final Finishing

• After DampLock has fully dried (minimum 24 hours):


• Apply Gaumaya Cow Dung Primer


• Then apply Gaumaya Exterior/Interior Emulsion

Always use a topcoat for:

• Better aesthetics


• UV protection


• Long-lasting damp resistance

Recommended Surface:

• Ideal for bathroom walls, kitchen walls, terraces, basements, and areas prone to dampness.


• Can be applied on plastered surfaces, concrete walls, and masonry before putty and paint application.

 Post Damplock-Painting Care

• After Damplock treatment, apply putty (recommended mix: 25% POP + 75% waterproof putty) for best results.


• Finish with primer and paint for a long-lasting, smooth surface.


• Regular maintenance ensures extended waterproofing life.
